Born at Angers 1973, Find Art Academy of Toulouse and Marseille, Diploma in 1999. Personal work: Taboo: “The inclusion of gesture of intimate actions in a public context is a phenomenon that breaks the habits and norms. Therefore the nature of value and conditioning is questioned. The intimacy of the act is often a refusal or repulsion. It is also analyses criteria and therefore objectivity. The phenomenon of presenting, during a public event, actions that normally take place in the utmost intimacy, carries with it a degree of interrogation of the cultural, and indeed social system. At the same time, it is also establishes a degree of tolerance on both sides: whether it’s a question of the place and its organization, or of the protagonist and their gesticulations.” The tissues of the Performative/ Richard Martel/ ART ACTION 1958 1998. By this degree of tolerance, performance action and multimedia art (video & sound) are the most adapted tools and a good combination to question our taboo society. The main topics and their opposites: Inside-Outside, the Beauty and the Beast, Intimacy-Voyeur, Being-Appearance, Female-Male, the ritual, Identity-Fashion mode, Seduction-Repulsion, Love-Sex… My artistic work is located at the junction between the sculpture and alive art: Costumes or object designed, to be here and now, video or sound supporting/revealing an idea, are an experimental connection that gives a space of freedom where every thing can happen and can be transformed. Performance is the link: These actions and pictures are a process that give birth to an unusual poetry, which talk about opposite and complementary. There exists a character with a multitude of moods. This character searches a new language through the body, sometimes inviting the spectators to respond. In order to feed this work, I have participated in professional theater and dance workshops: ‘On the Edge’ from Mark Tompkins and other workshops by David Zambrano, Buto Sumako Koseki. Videos and photography are also a research, in questioning of traces of these past actions.
